Along with being an accomplished and visioned singer/songwriter, Denver’s Joel Ansett also has two more prominent ostrich-sized feathers in his cap: the $25,000 he raised from a Kickstarter campaign and his place as a finalist in the 2013 International Songwriting Competition. Clearly, he’s the kind of artist who makes people sit up and take notice, particularly when he’s addressing issues that hit close to home. One listen to his music will tug at those heartstrings; his is the type of music that is almost uncomfortable it’s so relateable. But that’s also what makes it so intriguing and addicting.

Here, for the first time, is Ansett’s new live video for his stunning “Turn to Gold.” Find his album, The Nature of Us, on iTunes, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
