I had the honor of interviewing Bo back in the early 2000's at a little club in Minnesota. He was very down to earth and chatted with me for quite a while. I knew he had opened for the Clash back in the day and so I asked him about that and he went on quite the rant about how loud they were and how much he hated that tour. It was pretty funny.

It's a good time to appreciate those that remain; Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and Little Richard. Let's not wait until they die to give them the kind of attention that they richly deserve as pioneers of the music we love. Let's write stories and post their songs on blogs while they're still here and can enjoy the appreciation.

ain't bangin' on les paul–I have a soft spot for him and chet atkins. Just saying, you know, Diddley was a man amongst boys, just like he sings.

Les Paul still performs every Monday night at The Iridium Jazz Club in NYC. Don't knock the man. He still puts on a show, at 93. And takes time to meet and greet every single person at the show who wants to meet him.
