Last year, Popdose introduced you to a duo, Brothers Prince, who impressed us with their smooth, soulful grooves and quality songwriting.  This year, Austin Prince has struck out on his own; after 2 years of working full time while also leading Brothers Prince and not feeling completely fulfilled by either, Mr. Prince a need to go all in with his music. This past spring,  he quit his job and left the band to pursue his own solo project. As Mr. Prince states, “I am approaching this project as both a full-time job and a passion project, allowing me to give it my all. I have started documenting the whole process through a blog and Instagram posts with the goal of getting vulnerable and taking risks through writing and releasing music.”

The first single, ”Hard to Bare,” was just released alongside blog posts talking about the writing process. ”Hard to Bare” is an experimental pop/soul song and is the culmination of a collaboration between Austin Prince and producer Max Savage. He’s currently finishing up his next single, which will be part of an E.P. he’ll release in Spring, 2019.
