I don't think anything before or since has ever been able to bring me that much joy. I still get chills during the opening sequence when the deck opens up and the Veritech fighter rises and the music starts. Hell, I'm getting the shivers just <i>thinking</i> about it right now. I had read somewhere that Jake Gyllenhaal was attached to the film project. There is also (apparently) a Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets) film in the works as well.
