I definitely liked it more than he did, but I too was a little disappointed overall -- but for different reasons. I loved all of the stuff that Alex hated and he didn't have any problems with the stuff that I found annoying. It's not always good to see films with friends. When I saw “Cuckoo's Nest” for the first time, I went with my friend EJ. She had seen it previously, and wanted to see it again. At the movies ultimate movie, and one of the most powerful moments in cinema history, the moment when Chief realizes that McMurphy has been neutralized by surgery, she leaned over to me, and in a way too loud stage whisper intoned, “THEY GAVE HIM A FRONTAL LOBOTOMY!”

He said it was great as an action film but it sucked as a Star Trek movie. I ran into him in the parking lot under the Kabuki right after he saw it & he was wavering on his feelings but by the time he got home.... HATED it! Thank you Jeff.
