I'm SO honored to be inked by Popdose and be in the same article as Milkshake, who I saw at the Grammy Museum this year -- my son and I were transported and mesmerized. I googled myself late-night and got a cyber-hit that has lasted until this morning.

Too shiny and happy Birdie of Birdie's Playhouse here. They may be a kid's band, but their music is great, and lyrics are very clever. I listen to this minus the kids.

Looking forward to The Hipwaders column. The "metal band" I mentioned above was a reference to Therapy? I thought it was easier to say "metal band" than to have to explain "Irish pop/punk/metal" band, in case it wasn't you.

You are on the radar, my friend. Thanks for being patient, and for writing.

Ah, Steve! Yes, I still have our correspondence. That would ruin it for us readers as well.

I suggested the criminally under-appreciated Irish pop/punk/metal band Therapy? I actually sent you a follow up email (using my real name, Steve) a few weeks after the column started and you wrote back stating the mighty T? was in your queue. So, it's simply a case of waiting my turn, I suppose. Just hoping to get my guys some press Stateside. Thanks!

No worries, Rob. I meant what I said, too -- you guys rock. I will definitely be on the lookout for a show.

Thanks for stopping by, Lisa. To answer your questions: about a dozen and a half initially (and many more since), and no.

Now onto more serious matters: I don't have an email from a RoyBatty in my box -- did we correspond? What did you suggest?

I alternate this column with my Death by Power Ballad column, and the combination and timing is just right for me -- I don't want either to seem like work (my previous column, Unsolicited Career Advice, became an effort to get out toward the end of its run, cuz I just lost the inspiration for it). I love this column and the introduction to new sounds and interaction with Popdose readers; I also love me some power ballads. I have time to write one column a week, so I alternate weeks.

I know there are others who sent stuff after the initial call for submissions, and all I can do is ask your patience. There's a religious rap record I have to get to, and at least one singer/songwriter and one metal band I know I'll be taking on. But there are also releases (like Koot Hoomi and the one I'm covering next column) that require a more timely response to be most effective. I'll get to everything eventually, but not necessarily in the order of submission.

I appreciate your appreciation for the column. Let me know what you suggested, and I'll make sure it gets covered.

Hi, Roy. But it's pretty old and we took it for our comic book cover, which featured us as cartoon characters. Visit our Facebook page to see more a updated version of Milkshake. www.facebook.com/milkshakeband

Hi, Thierry.
