Things have gotten pretty interesting over the past year or so for Roger Waters, former ringleader for the band Pink Floyd. Aside from the reissue of the album Amused to Death and the recently announced Us+Them tour, Waters’ revealed yesterday the title to his forthcoming fourth studio album (his fifth post-Floyd effort if you include the opera Ca Ira). Is This the Life We Really Want? is expected to play a pivotal part in the tour as Waters has stated new material will comprise 25% of the playlist.

The new album was, according to Waters in previously published interviews, intended first to be a fully-formed radio play with music. Producer Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Beck, Paul McCartney) approached the project as an editor and the two collaborated to finalize a more traditional release. Waters has stated he still intends to complete and release the original radio play.

A teaser video for the album has been added to the Us+Them tour page.
