I just finished watching the flick, hadnt seen it in a long time, have my own Chasing Amy love, which is why i love the movie so much.
I love when he gets done his exhaustive “i love you” speech, and Alyssa storms out of the car and Holden says, “was it something i said?”….
Listened to the last song and was hoping to find a download, and how i came across this site… the links for mp3s are all dead, any chance of getting them up again? or forwarding “We 3″?
Also wanted to say thanks for the Garafalo stream, Love her, and hadnt heard that bit before.
So have you ever blogged about “The Pirate Movie”? also a flick without a published soundtrack, man I love those tunes =).

great, great, great movie. Second only to Clerks as my favorite Kevin Smith flick.

Those of you who clicked the link in the 2nd paragraph…”Jersey Rocker Boy” is in fact Jon Bon Jovi. I attended a screening of this movie some years ago, where Kevin Smith first presented a scene that didnt make the final cut, then did a Q&A after. Someone asked about the soundtrack situation, and he told the story as written in that link, however dropped all the names involved, haha. He prefaced it by stating that one of his production guys pitched it to him first as “youre gonna love this – the movie is set in Jersey, youre from Jersey, we got THE guy who epitomizes Jersey to do a song for the soundtrack!” and he got all excited thinking Springsteen was on board, only to have Bon Jovi be the guy in question. Good stuff. Also, I talked to Smith one on one for a hot minute after the Q&A and he was great.

I love the fact that Holden acts like a dick for most of the picture and does NOT get the girl in the end (sorry if I ruined it for anyone, but if you haven't seen it by now ...). If this had been a Tom Cruise movie, he woulda treated her like shit for 90 minutes and STILL run off with her.

Great soundtrack, too. Thank you once again, Kelly.

I think I've mentioned this before, but: in the beginning scenes at the comic book convention, there's a static shot of the audience. In the front row of that audience is a heavy-set dude with a braid in his hair. That would be my brother, John Dunphy.

Why wasn't I in the movie? I was working at the time & couldn't get the day off.
