I have searched hi and low for the song "Jail/Port Authority by Day" by Thomas Newman and when I find it on your blog, the link is broken. Saddened. I have asked iTunes to add the entire score to their collection, which is vast in terms of Thomas Newman, but no Desperately Seeking Susan! I did enjoy reading your post about this movie, and as a huge Bruce Willis when he was David Addison fan (not to mention Duckie Dale from Pretty in Pink) I was heartened to read it. Thank you for sharing. I just watched this movie again recently and you know, for the 80s, it was actually quite good!
Signed,
a 37 year old who lost track of time in her head

Argh! Literally over the course of one weekend, the girls in school went from jeans and Scorpions t-shirts to black lace over-tops, scrunchies and vinyl ring bracelets. And gum. Lots & lots of chewing gum.

This movie definitely signaled the ascendence of Madonna.
