The MP3 revolution is a great, great thing, but it's a scary thought that a fall, or a virus, or a close encounter with a ceramic magnet, can wipe it all away. <br><br>My daughter doesn't own a single store-bought CD. Her experience of music is entirely digital - which, I suppose, means she's got less clutter in her life; but it's all too ephemeral for me. Give me a CD with the book and the fold-out, or a shellac 78 I can hold in my hand and feel the grooves under my fingertips. I feel your pain, man – albeit on a lesser scale. It would have been a huge hit for him if he had released it 15-20 years earlier. instead, it came and went almost unnoticed.
