Lots of good stuff here! The Cotton Jones tune is getting me psyched for when they come to town next month with the Parson Red Heads.

  • KellyStitzel

I saw Cotton Jones play last year in Chicago and they were FANTASTIC. They're coming here soon and I can't wait.

I love “Heartbeats,” but I heard a different version on an episode of “Bones” recently. Do you know who's covered it? It wasn't as stunning, but that melody sounds great anywhere.

I hope your summer improves, Kelly!

Was it Jose Gonzalez's version? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4_4abCWw-w

    Yep, that's it.

Now I have another question: is the Knife's electro-pop version the original?

  • KellyStitzel

Yeah, the Knife's version is the original.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, Scala & Kolacny Brothers' version is the best.

I played the St. Vincent song by accident and it hit me like a perfect perfect perfect sack of bricks. Thanks for the gift.
