SHUT YOUR GOBS, YOU PUKEY TWITS!
Sometimes you just need to clear the cobwebs out of the air ducts, you know? Arriving in the 1970’s the punk rock movement was a direct reaction to the disco revolution, the soft rock coma and the prog rock, twenty minute, ode to the three-eyed dragon. By marrying the aggression of the times to the cornerstones of rock ‘n roll efficiency, three chords mostly, chorus-envy and in & out in under four minutes, punk has more in common with the ’50s and ’60s. In fact, in several interviews before his death, Joey Ramone admitted whole-heartedly that was where his true passion was. Not that it was ever doubted: do you remember rock and roll?
