I have a friend that only considers songs about him describing the Jersey Shore or plotting to escape the state to be "authentic" - "Worlds Apart", for all its differences from what's expected, gave me a new level of appreciation for the guy. This and "Streets Of Philadelphia" said to me that he wasn't going to regurgitate his former glories all his career (cough Stones cough). I know the type. MAGIC is one of Springsteen's finest albums, ever, but the rest of the records he's done with him are uneven. <br><br>What's also amazing is the groups he worked with as a mixer. I think the sound of BLOOD SUGAR SEX MAGIK and SUPERUNKNOWN really helped the Chili Peppers and Soundgarden break through to the mainstream. Everyone may not agree, but I find that a good thing.<br><br>This is a great mix. I would have added something from Rage's BATTLE FOR LOS ANGELES, which captured that band at the height of their power, just before they fell apart.
