I'd never heard Mother's Finest before, although their 76/77 heyday is just a little before my time. Put that same stuff out 10-15 years later, they'd've been huge!

The Producers also were very good, especially the first track. "She Shelia" didn't quite click with me, but I suspect it's a grower.

Anyway, thanks for posting, everyone. Tom, can't wait to hear about your "Greatest Misses"....

Just want to say thanks for DMed for posting the audio, and to Side 3 for posting the video. I thought those guys would be big too, Tom. Pity.

Swear to God, I was just listening to “She Sheila” about 20 minutes ago, before I saw the request to post their songs. But Lennie Petze gets a prominent executive producer credit.

Actually, according to the credits, Rick Chertoff produced Cyndi's big record (the “She's So Unusual” album). They're what I consider my best work that nobody ever heard.

In my next installment, I'll include a list of my suggested Greatest Misses. Only the Beatles seemed to plateau and never disappoint. It's usually easy to identify the strongest writing period of any songwriter, and it's obvious that when they've had their say -- when they've done their thing -- it's usually downhill from there. Even Paul Simon peaked and fell. The Eagles and Dylan, too. Many will disagree with me, but you know what I'm saying --- Scholz said his piece in the first two albums, and that was really enough.

Every band has its high point — even the Stones (for me it was just before Sticky Fingers).
