The Epic "yellow label" era stuff I can remember consists of Jeff Beck, The Hollies, REO Speedwagon, Argent, Edgar Winter, Donovan, Sly & The Family Stone, Terry Reid, and Fuse. (Maybe Chase, too.) Seems odd that a label with that roster would turn down Rush and Lynyrd Skynyrd. <br><br>Wondering about another CBS imprint at the time - Date. That label got absorbed into Epic if I recall correctly. Their only big act I can remember was the Zombies. They also had a one-shot single with Steven Tyler's pre-Aerosmith band, wonder if Werman has a story about that. Trying to picture my record collection from that era. I've also read that in addition to being turned off by the confetti stunt, Don was none too pleased to have his shoes vomited on by Peter Criss's brother. Any truth to that? Great stuff.
