What a poorly setup site. The tracks are NOT mp3s – streaming only, so to sample anything I'd needt to strap my PC to my back and carry a long power cable! You cannot comment anonymously.despite the invitation to do so. And the login procedure is ridiculous – an alphanumeric username starting and ending in a letter. What's that all about?
Don't think you'll generate much traffic with this.
    derek

Actually, you can stream AND download, which you might have figured out if you'd bothered to look before commenting…

    Stop it, Dad. Seriously.

I know I spend a lot of time on the computer but that's no reason to slag off where I write.

    Yeesh.

Nice to see Will Hoge up there. He opened for Squeeze this past summer and put on a pretty power-packed set; so much so that I bought one of his CDs there and asked him and the band to sign the sleeve – this is something I never do for any opening act…

Ah, “Ballad in 4/4.” I like that song more than I probably should. And God love 10cc and their art for art's sake.

Plus you don't have to have put numbers in your user name.

In the spirit of Christian charity, let me 'splain somethin' to you.

To download the track, right click the name/title, i.e. “Paul Heaton-If” and save to your hard drive.

To post anonymously, type a name in the box “name” — doesn't have to be your own name. I suggest “Clueless.” Then type your email in the space for email. Then type any old darn website you like in the website box. I have several blot sites, but I just type in “http://yahoo.com” Then click post.

Even unwelcome politically conservative comments can be posted here anonymously, though I use my real first name and Jefito knows who I am so it ain't really anonymous.

But really, you didn't try very hard, did you? God helps those who help themselves. Go thou and sin no more.

Politically conservative comments are welcome! They're really, truly welcome! I just like to argue with 'em is all…

I have noticed a problem that has occurred when trying to download the weekly mixtape tracks for the past three weeks. Often, only a few seconds of the track will download. Maybe 30 to 35 seconds, and then it just stops. It takes multiple tries to finally get the full track. No big deal, I just have to try a couple times, but it only seems to affect the mixtape posts. I use both Firefox and Windows IE and it does it with both browsers.

Shit, that's irritating. Is anyone else having the same problem?

  • Mark

That's been constantly happening to me whenever I try to download anything from here in the last couple weeks.
