I didn't try the others, but the Liam Finn track does not work.

  • David Ragland

At my most beautiful is one of my very favorite REM songs. That whole album is underrated.

    So it doesn't. I'm re-upping it now…

The rest of that album, save “Why Not Smile,” has always been lost on me — but I'm with you about “At My Most Beautiful.”

  • Jim Nasium

    Cheers, thank you.

    Go Dw!

I like the melody and arrangement a lot. I want to buy you a bass player, though.

Yeah. Yeah, definitely. The bassline is just… well… that booty don't shake.

But thank you for the positive feedback. When I realized I was up against Warren Zevon AND Peter Case, I knew I was screwed. Have you ever heard Case's take on John Prine's “The Wonderful 99″?

  • busstop

This is a great idea for a weekly post! Is there any way to make it so we can listen to the whole mix tapr instead of track by track?

  • http://www.popdose.com jefito

It's technically possible, but it would take me forever to do, so…I guess the answer to your question is “not until my kids go to college.”

  • Darius

This was one of your best mixtapes ever, (and I'm going back to the days of Jefitoblog). Just one problem. The Peter Case plays fine, but I could only download a 42 second fragment. I hope you can fix this. Thanx.

I love the mixtape idea. Are the tracks supposed to fit a certain theme or musical style ? Or are they totally random ?

  • http://www.popdose.com jefito

The uploads are a constant problem. I'm trying to figure out why this is happening. In the meantime, I'll take a look at the Case file and re-up it if necessary.

Almost totally random. No theme. They're just taken from my Winamp's “recently played” list.

  • Darius

The Peter Case is working now. Thank you.
