(Actually, it took them 12 hours to revive me after I saw Rush's pulchritudinous mug on the home page.) Thanks for the shout-out; I always wanted to be mentioned in such illustrious company. Rush actually does a creditable job here, though he occasionally sounds like his mouth is a bit dry from the Oxy. That happens.

(Assuming old man voice) Did I ever tell you about the time I met Aretha? (Please tell us the story again, grandpa!) I was working at the Kennedy Center in DC, and at the time was doing video interviews with all the performers at the KC's 25th anniversary gala in 1996. Aretha walked into our interview room and immediately started complaining about the air conditioning and the lack of ventilation. We sent somebody out to pretend to adjust the thermostat, but she kept complaining the whole time. She had nothing to say in response to all of our perfectly innocuous questions. She was the worst interview we did; second worst was another person you mentioned today, Baba Wawa, who is utterly flat and boring until that camera light goes on, at which point she turns into that bubbly "Barbara Walters" character we all know and love.

I'm going on too long (trying to stay out of the kitchen in hopes my wife will do the dishes), but I'll say one other thing: Somebody should put Rush and Aretha into a locked room together, just to find out which one of them eats the other first. Merry Christmas!!!!!

I'm sorry I'm so late to this party. That's what it says in my iTunes.

Yknow, my daughter heard me play the beginning of that Christmas Tree song the other night. It sounds good. She keeps asking me to play it again. But I can't have her learning the words and singing it around town!

Was the original, “good” version of 'Twas the Night by Art Carney?
