WICKED's LD is Kenneth Posner, a great talent and a nice guy, too. I edited a magazine about theatrical lighting, Lighting Dimensions, and contribute to the magazine it became, Live Design.

My wife was telling me about that lottery. You have to show up 2 1/2 hours before the show and put your name in the lottery. But the good news is that they draw the names about a half hour after the lottery opens. Maybe I'll try it, but it would have to be on the weekend.

I go frequently, and the only way to afford that addiction is to do the lottery. $25 cash, if you win. It's worth the trip in on BART. The seats are on the side, but just fine. Your daughter will enjoy the fun of trying for tickets. Check the SHNSF website for more details.

This is a well-written piece although I must point out something that is not true:
“Kendra Kassebaum and Teal Wicks — both of whom played Glinda and Elphaba in the touring production of Wicked in other cities — had the night off…”

Teal Wicks has never been in any of the touring productions. Teal has played Elphaba in the LA production, which was a “sit down” show like the one that is now in San Francisco.
