I love this show! Love the happy ending. I am so thankful for the wrap-up. What a great group of creators/producers/writers, a class act for giving the fans an ending. The plug was pulled on this show too early. It was just finding its place.
I feel like I have closure on this show now. I wish there could have been more.

October Road is a simply delicious slice of life. As a Roadie, my heart breaks that this series was cut short. There is still so much life left in it, so much more of the story to tell. The wrap up was the greatest gift that the cast an crew could have ever given us and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Long live October Road!

I've never seen so much as a moment of the show (I didn't have anything against it, I just never got around to watching it), but I still think it's AWESOME that the cast and creators took the time to offer up a coda to the series on the DVD for the fans. Would that all abruptly-canceled shows offered that kind of closure…

Ugh. I wanted to like this show when it first debuted, what with its pretty people and pretty faux-New England scenery, and its pretty Gen-X retro angst. The writers just seemed to get in their own way. They could get a compelling storyline going, but it always seemed to fizzle with clunky dialogue and over-the-top goofiness. This on top of a premise that a guy in New York totally loses touch with his hometown in… um, Western Massachusetts? Seriously?? I get that his friends are all angry with him, but his Dad and brother are still there.
Plus the totally unauthentic looking Red Sox hat the one guy always wears is an abomination. It looks like he just got it in the mail with a coupon from a Wheaties box. Unacceptable.
