It's a satire and farce of a high order. I didn't think Reggie's life was that bad, yet Leonard Rossiter so wonderfully played the part is if it were all fully credible. I loved John Baron as CJ, Reggie's boss. I even mimic him. If I'm proud of an accomplishment, I'll say in a tongue and cheek manner, "I didn't get where I am today by ______." to my brother, who is also fan of the show. In an American series, Reggie would have faked his death and taken on a new identity within the first 10 minutes of the first episode. We never would have had the luxury of getting to know the people in his life and watched how routine his existence had become. <br><br>The PR people for this DVD release probably hate me because it took me so long to write this review (sorry) but I got caught up in the show and really wanted to see what happens. Not that it stopped them from trying: ABC attempted "Reggie," starring Richard Mulligan, but it bellyflopped after only a couple of episodes.
