I feel just the opposite. TVOTR has opened for 4 different headliners so I have seen them a bunch. I thought they were bored and boring, so much some that I never bothered with their recordings. The singers seem almost to mime the stage moves of classic indie frontmen without any connections to themselves. Until Dear Science came out I thought that they were a severely overrated band but after hearing it's brilliance and then going back an listening to their older recordings I realize they are just a boring live show.
