New decade, new frontiers. My first mission: Sundance 2010.

That’s right, dear readers: in my quest for the latest in style and wellness, next week I plan to suffer through nearly seventy-two hours of red carpets, booze-filled parties and celebrity gifting lounges. Yes, I know it will be hard (and most likely full of Hiltons), but I’ll suck it up and try to enjoy myself like a big girl. I might even go see some movies.

My schedule is still evolving, but let me give you a preview of some of the unofficial Festival highlights.

Starting Thursday, festivities kick off with two opening night screenings followed by the Sundance Institute Opening Night Party, while Snow Magazine hosts an ”apres-ski” gifting lounge and cocktail party. Also on Thursday, Village at the Yard opens their doors as the official Sundance hospitality site, coordinated by Relevent Group and PMK-BNC. Highlights include the famously posh Fred Segal Fun boutique, the T-Mobile® myTouch Diner, luxury hair and make-up services, robot demonstrations, the Wii Fitâ„¢ Plus Fitness Club and a variety of treats to eat and drink (I’ve heard rumors about a sledding hill too…).

On Friday, things heat up with nearly round-the-clock movie screenings, gifting lounges and parties. Lounge highlights include the Kari Feinstein Sundance Style Lounge, Debbie Durkin’s Main Event Red Carpet Lounge and the eco-conscious Alive!Expo Green Pavilion. Gen Art hosts a filmmaker ping-pong tournament and brings back two of last year’s hottest events, the ”7 Fresh Faces in Film” and ”Kenneth Cole Black” parties. Oakley’s Learn to Ride is also back for 2010, as is the Gibson Guitar Lounge, House of Hype, Village at the Lift and Ryan Heil’s Afterhours Series.

Events rumored but unconfirmed include the Microsoft Bing Suite, Variety’s ”Fifteen Minutes of Fame” filmmaker series, the annual AXE party and multiple events at Harry O’s and Downstairs. I’ve also heard whispers about two ultra-luxe mansion parties with secret passwords…but, if I tell you I’ll have to kill you.

So anyway, fans, there you have it: a rough outline of some of this year’s most talked-about events. I’ve previewed many of the products that will have a presence in Park City this year, and I can’t wait to check them out for you in person. Don’t worry though. I’ll do my best to avoid anything with pink fur.

See you soon!
