You can hear the song at least twice daily on any Canadian oldies station.  Good thing it&#039;s a great record!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Oh, and Fats Domino may have never got to number one, but he probably rested easy knowing he sold more than 40 million records between 1950 and &#039;58.  Nope, that&#039;s not a typo -- 40 million (mostly singles, but also 3 million of those new-fangled LP things starting in &#039;56.)  And, very unusually for the time, Domino was wise enough to have signed a contract back in 1950 that called for royalties on records sold. From all accounts, he got paid those royalties, too -- which means that unlike almost every other Rock and Roll pioneer, Fats Domino didn&#039;t get totally ripped off by his record company.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Getting ripped off by chart compilers is, of course, another story.
