I agree with FD13NYC. I’m a huge Beach Boys fan and it doesn’t really remind me of them. It sounds more like T-Rex – especially the backing vocals.

To each their own, but when I hear this track, it sounds to me somewhere right between the rhythm of “Help Me Rhonda” and the arrangement of their cover of “Rock And Roll Music.” I have to believe with the overt beach theme of the song, that’s what the group was shooting for too, but the nice thing about music is that everyone can hear something different and enjoy it on the basis of those differences.
