Some artists take time to find their footing, but 16-year-old Cara Mitchell is already playing squarely to her strengths as a songwriter and performer — at least if “Passing Sun,” this sample track from her upcoming debut EP, Have You Ever Wondered, is anything to go by. All glimmering guitars and gently drifting vocals, it’s the perfect soundtrack for a sunny August afternoon. Find the nearest hammock and start counting down the days until September 23, when Have You Ever Wondered is scheduled for release.
