In yet another blow to the music world, Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey died today in New York at the age of 67; this was reported on The Eagles’ website. He’d had intestinal problems during the latter part of 2015 and had surgery in November; his condition apparently deteriorated quite rapidly over these last few days.
Frey co-wrote and sang most of The Eagles’ hits, including “Take It Easy,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” and “Heartache Tonight”; he also co-wrote “Hotel California” and “Desperado” with band co-founder Don Henley.
