The following is an FOJ (Friends Of Jefitoblog) Television Alert!
First: Our good pal Amir Talai will be starring in Campus Ladies, the new Oxygen Network sitcom, starting January 8th.
Yes, yes, I know, the Oxygen Network (or, as they like to call themselves, Oh!) is for chicks. I didn’t even know I had the channel in my lineup until I asked TiVo to make a season pass for me. But, you guys, it’s Amir. Perhaps you remember him from his brief-but-thrilling appearances in such television shows as Gilmore Girls, Nash Bridges, Cold Case, The Comeback, Curb Your Enthusiasm, or Love, Inc.? Perhaps you remember his voice from a recent episode of Family Guy?
Perhaps not. Either way, you’re going to want to check him out in Campus Ladies. I don’t know much about the show, other than that it’s about two housewives who go back to college, and Amir plays a guy named (eyeroll) Abdul. It may very well wind up being awful. But Amir’s good and funny. Click on the show’s logo to visit its official site:
Second: Our good pal Dave Matos will be making a two-episode appearance on FX’s The Shield, starting January 10th. Dave has been on Monk, Still Standing, and plenty of other stuff I can’t remember right now. Oh, and also, he’s one of the funniest fucking human beings I’ve ever had the good fortune to meet. Seriously, you guys. Seriously.
Anyway, check him out. And click on the show’s logo to visit its official blah blah blah:
