Jon Cummings

Jon Cummings is a freelance journalist, frustrated screenwriter and too-frequent Internet bombthrower (for God’s sake, don’t Google “comments by jonfromcali”). He lives physically (but not spiritually) in the soulless wasteland of suburban Los Angeles, and therefore has a conniption every time he hears that “Little Boxes” song. In previous lives he was a reporter/editor at Billboard and Inside Arts magazines, publications guru at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, and a PR flack for the United Nations and the ACLU’s Arts Censorship Project.

All of that is the rationalization Jon uses to justify his most-of-the-time career as slave and taxi driver to a pair of occasionally adorable offspring, and as consort and errand boy to a woman whose vastly superior earning potential made a mockery of his professional life. Not that there’s anything wrong with that; actually, it’s kind of like a fantasy camp. Don’t tell anyone.
