I’m assuming most of you are already aware of KBCO and its legendary Studio C series, copies of which routinely go for megabucks on Amazon. If you haven’t heard of the station or the CDs, no matter; I’m sure you’ve heard of at least most of the AAA stalwarts who have contributed live performances of their best-known songs to the show.

Here’s Volume 1, in its entirety. You’ll notice that these bitrates aren’t quite up to my normal snobbish standards, which is unfortunate, but this stuff is all out of print, so I’ll take what I can get.

(Which reminds me: Many, many thanks to the Dread Pirate Lebsack for supplying us with all this acoustic goodness.)

You’ll probably notice that this disc came out in the early ’90s (1992, to be exact), which accounts for the presence of certain artists (Big Head Todd and The Monsters to the white courtesy phone). This is all good stuff, though. Go on, download it. Meet me back here next week (I think, probably) for Vol. 2.

James Taylor – Something In The Way She Moves
Blue Rodeo – What Am I Doing Here
David Wilcox – Chet Baker’s Unsung Swan Song
Toad The Wet Sprocket – Something To Say
Chris Whitley – Poison Girl
Jellyfish – The King Is Half Undressed
Peter Himmelman – Woman With The Strength Of 10,000 Men
Roger McGuinn – Without Your Love
Crash Test Dummies – Superman’s Song
Lowen & Navarro – Walking On A Wire
Will T. Massey – Coffee Break
An Emotional Fish – Blue
Texas – Walk The Dust
Big Head Todd And The Monsters – Bittersweet
