The only real complaint I have about this is that it’s too short — 2:25? Yo, that’s wack — but minor quibbling aside, “Wack But Good People” highlights another side of Gift of Gab’s upcoming solo release, The Next Logical Progression, playing up the tongue-tripping MC’s love of esoteric sounds and less-traveled topics. Think of it as the B-side to the much more commercial “Protocol,” and mark March 27 on your calendar.
