Some of you have waxed rhapsodic here about Michael Nesmith’s solo output; I haven’t listened to any of his other albums, but his latest, Rays, is available on iTunes as of this week:

The long list of four-star reviews convinced me to make the purchase. Having listened to it, I have to say, I don’t get what all the fuss is about…but if you’re a fan, go check it out.

Also new and somewhat disappointing is “H Gang,” the new Donald Fagen single, also on iTunes:

I’m really not sure why I’m so underwhelmed by this song. It doesn’t sound appreciably different from anything Fagen or Steely Dan have done in recent memory, and I love me some Steely. And yet…eh.
