This English band, in the tradition of Paul Weller/Blur/Oasis, etc. are back with a new single.  It’s a catchy song on the whole – but it’s empty in many ways:  too many things going on – the very boisterous vocals – in which Andy Crofts (the lead singer) is singing to be heard, the horn section, the guitars; it could use a different style of mixing but it does have something.  Really, I was waiting for a payoff that just didn’t come.

There’s a lot of potential with this song if given the right treatment.  I will say that while I wasn’t knocked out by this single, I am curious to hear the new album, Mindwaves, when it comes out in July.
