Greetings of the spooky season, my children of the night! ‘Tis I, Jack Fear — Popdose’s own crypt-keeper — inviting you once more to have a poke around my cabinet of sonic curiosities, where ye shall find the newest installment in our sinister series of Halloween mixtapes. For this most horrifying of years, we have a 72-minute nonstop montage of music and sound: creepy classics, ominous obscurities, terrifying tunes new and old are, as always, free for your streaming and downloading pleasure.
But we are no fair-weather fiends, oh no; we’re in this for the long haul. You see, this year’s mixtape is just the latest in a long-running series—eighteen installments and counting—of unique audio experiences, enough to keep your spine tingling from midnight to midnight.
There’s nothing like this on any streaming service. Many of our source tracks are out of print or otherwise unavailable, and they’re all curated, mixed, and edited not by an algorithm, but by a twisted human mind. (Allegedly human, anyway.) These mixtapes are perfect for long car trips, livening up your hours at the office, or frightening the neighborhood children.
