Will Harris

Will was born in Norfolk, VA, and still only lives about a 10-minute drive from the hospital where he made his debut. One of the few residents of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia who has no military ties anywhere in his family, he has only left the vicinity long enough to secure his journalism degree from Averett University, in Danville, VA. He became an obsessive music fan after one of his neighbors gave him The BeatlesÁ¢€â„¢ 20 Greatest Hits LP as a Christmas present; perhaps inevitably, he has been a sucker for a pop hook ever since, which would explain his love of Jellyfish, Matthew Sweet, the Greenberry Woods, the Housemartins, the Smiths, Crowded House, Brian Wilson, and about 3.14 million other artists he hasn’t the room to name here.

After almost 20 years of freelancing, Will scored a full-time journalism gig by being on an E-mail list dedicated to the Trashcan Sinatras, which is something precious few people can say; nonetheless, thatÁ¢€â„¢s how he met fellow Popdose contributor David Medsker, who put him in touch with the folks at Bullz-Eye, where he now works as an Associate Editor and serves as a member in good standing of the Television Critics Association.

Will is happily married, having scored his wife, Jenn, by playing the Replacements’ “Skyway” on their first date, thereby proving that he really did pay attention when she was talking to him on the phone the night before. Sadly, his attention span has shrunk to the size of a peanut since then, but despite this, they somehow still continue to live happily ever after in Chesapeake, VA, with their cute liÁ¢€â„¢l daughter, Allyson, and their utterly neurotic cat, SED.*

*If youÁ¢€â„¢re wondering, itÁ¢€â„¢s an acronym that stands for Something Entirely Different, which she most certainly is.
