My Daughter

Indulge a few moments of paternal pride, if you will. My wife and I took our daughter and our friends, Brad and Felina, to the beach today. On the way back, we had the following conversation:

Leah: Sophie, do you know what we’re going to do when we get home?

Sophie: We’re gonna watch a movie!

Leah: No, it’s going to be time for a nap.

Sophie: No! We’re going to watch a movie, Felina!

Leah: Felina isn’t the boss, Sophie. Mommy is the boss.

Sophie: No, Mommy. Bruce Springsteen is The Boss.
