Even casual Kiss and Rush fans are well aware that the two bands toured together in 1975. What they didn’t know was that from that tour, a true but tempestuous friendship between drumming legends Peter Criss and Neil Peart was born. Now, years after the two stopped speaking to each other, we can reveal some of the many exchanges they shared in the ’70s and ’80s.
What began as friendly banter between Criss and Peart devolved to deeply personal insults over issues like feminism, drugs, and the late John Rutsey. What follows is a fascinating but disturbing peek at a very volatile relationship.
