I have a 1988 Chevy Celebrity station wagon. It was my grandfather’s and it, chronologically, was his last car so there is a lot of history and memories attached to it. It’s in okay condition, although the reality that it will probably cross the 200,000-mile mark in the next week means it is coming closer to its end than its beginning. I don’t have the money to resurrect it should this happen soon, but for now it gets me where I need to go, provides me with a place to listen to my music and to sing along, and one day it will occupy an honored place in my recollections.
