Breakneck tempos, the sound of a stuck CD, deep “metallic” bass with old-fashioned hardcore punk guitars – such is the delivery of Japan’s Melt Banana on this, their tenth album, Fetch.  A hybrid of many styles combined into one with rapid-fire vocals by singer Yako – it leaves the listener out of breath and panting as it whizzes by.  Not the usual fare I’m used to but it’s a neat change of pace; something to become more familiar with over time.  Give them a try!
