Section 2: The Top 40

EMF hit #18 with “Lies” after spending a week at the top with “Unbelievable.”

Eminem’s first top 40 won him a Grammy award for best rap solo performance. However, “My Name Is” still only peaked at #36 and is strangely enough labeled with the “[N]” for novelty recording in the bible.

Enigma hit #5 with “Sadeness (Part 1)” and #4 with “Return To Innocence.”

En Vogue hit the top 40 with “Hold On” “Lies” “My Lovin’” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel” “Free Your Mind” “Give It Up, Turn It Loose” “Love Don’t Love You” “Don’t Let Go (Love)” “Whatever” and “Too Gone, Too Long”
