Monica was the 17th highest ranked artist in the decade according to Billboard thanks to “The Boy Is Mine” with Brandy hitting #1 for 13 weeks, as well as “For You I Will” spending five weeks in the top stop and four more “Angel of Mine.” She also had top 40 hits with “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days)” “Before You Walk Out of My Life/Like This and Like That” “Why I Love You So Much/Ain’t Nobody” and “For You I Will”

Monifah hit #32 with “You” and #9 with “Touch It”

John Michael Montgomery’s lone top 40 hit in the decade was “Hold On To Me” which peaked at #3 in 1998.

Chante Moore hit #10 in 1999 with “Chante’s Got A Man”
