Canada, hip-hop, and senior citizens ballroom dancing: They sound like the ingredients for a round of Mad Libs, but in this case, they’re the winning formula behind Friends with the Help’s new video for “Love Thought.” Part of videographer Nancy Lee’s efforts to “challenge prejudiced perceptions of the elderly and create new narratives that speak about the elderly in a positive light,” the clip proves an absorbing visual counterpart for the Vancouver trio’s latest single, which combines an old-school soul feel with some unusual, Fatlip-esque flow. Watch the video here, and check out the full-length album at Friends with the Help’s Bandcamp page.
