Das Boot, the critically acclaimed World War II drama, has just been released on a 2-disc Blu-ray. In the film, a young submarine crew heads out to sea on a top-secret mission that all but ensures most will ever make it home alive. Ordered to patrol the Atlantic and destroy an allied armada bringing supplies to Britain, these raw recruits must band together, bracing themselves against a depth-charge assault from an unseen enemy.

Das Boot was directed by Wolfgang Peterson, who went on to direct some of Hollywood’s biggest stars in films such as In the Line of Fire, Outbreak, Air Force One, The Perfect Storm and Troy.
