Friend of the author, and of Popdose, Craig Bacon graciously offered some items for a 50CCM50-related giveaway and I thought the timing would be right for a lead-in to the last of our series, coming this Friday.
The first giveaway features two vinyl rarities, Charlie Peacock’s Island LP and a 45 RPM single of Mark Heard’s “We Believe So Well,” from the album Ashes and Light. Both Peacock and Heard have landed prestigious spots on our countdown, and now a lucky winner will get to hear why.
The rules are easy as pie: If you have not won anything from Popdose in the last month, send an email to dw.dunphy@gmail.com and answer these questions — Name the hit song recorded by the co-producer of Peacock’s Island album. Here are two hints. The song was recorded by a band and the band’s name includes the co-producer’s surname. Also, that hit song came out on Island Records too.
The winner will be announced on Saturday, April 16, so stay tuned!
Here are the caveats. These are used items, but gently used. They look to be in great condition, but because they are not brand new items, the winner must be of the understanding that they might not perform as factory-shipped items might. Regardless, these are both great titles and collectable, so give it a shot. We think you’ll be glad you did.
