This is going to be the last ’80s Dance Party for a little while. Don’t worry — not for good; just for a few weeks. I wouldn’t permanently forsake you and your desire to get your dance on.
I’m particularly proud of this one. I’ve listened to it about 10 times already and, not to pat myself on the back, but I think it’s kind of perfect. It should make for a nice playlist if you’re planning on a BBQ of some sort this Memorial Day weekend. And if you’re not in the States, it’ll just be fun to dance to, period.
Of course, I love all of these songs, but I’m particularly fond of the “Promises, Promises” remix, as it contains some vocals by one Madonna Ciccone. I also love the “Poison Arrow” extended mix because it adds evidence to my theory that an ’80s remix means business if the flute shows up. And I adore the Nik Kershaw, Hipsway and Fiction Factory songs.
I hope you think this mix is as perfect as I do. I’ll see you in a few weeks!
