This week’s Cutouts Gone Wild! is brought to you by our good friend Jason over at Plagiarist — giving you one more reason (as if you didn’t have enough already) to bop over there and read up on a daily basis.

The Jellyfish fans among you — those who don’t already own Fan Club — know what a fuckin’ sweet offering this is. Fan Club was in print for an extremely limited time via Not Lame, and these days, a copy can set you back upwards of $200 on eBay. Jason passed a copy along to me, I died and went to heaven, and now I’m back to share it with y’all.

Those of you who aren’t familiar with the band, well, I don’t know what’s the matter with you, but it’s never too late to start. They started life as a foppish bunch of paisley-ish popsters, then grew up into a righteous blend of the Bee Gees, Queen, and Supertramp for their second and final album, Spilt Milk. Fan Club tracks this evolution through demos, live cuts, and assorted unreleased material; it ain’t the official stuff, in other words, so it probably isn’t the best place to start if you’ve never listened to the albums, but still. Behold the glory of the gelatinous fish.

Download. Enjoy. Meet me back here next week for more out-of-print goodness.
