Apologies for the lack of activity here this week, friends Á¢€” I had something like a perfect storm converge to keep me away. Busy week at work(s), a sick baby, and some really heinous drama here at home (not to worry, nothing to do with me, the wife, or The Bean). I have a feeling that things are going to get a lot worse on that drama front before they get better, but hey, I’m a big boy, I can handle it, and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t keep on talking about the music and the junk food and stuff.

Also, out of the three albums I had earmarked for Wednesday’s Listening Booth (Toots Thielemans’ One More for the Road, Mason Jennings’ Boneclouds, and Sail Away: The Songs of Randy Newman), one left me nonplussed, one sucked outright, and the other, though good, didn’t knock me out. Not that every review here has to be filled with rapturous praise, obviously, but:eh, I wasn’t feeling it this week.

Anyway, the lights are back on and it’s full steam ahead. Got some live Posies coming up for you later this morning:
