Returning for a second volley of folk-fueled music, Michael Roe and Derri Daugherty — collectively known as Kerosene Halo — are thinking ambitiously. For their “House On Fire” Kickstarter project, the duo seeks to expand to a larger band. The duo is bringing in friends like Ken Lewis (drummer for The Civil Wars, Phil Keaggy, Charlie Peacock, Vince Gill & Amy Grant, Alison Moyet, Jason Mraz); Chris Donohue (bassist for Tom Jones, Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, Dave Matthews, Collective Soul, Daniel Lanois); Matt Slocum (guitar & cello for Sixpence None The Richer, Julie Miller, Plumb, Wes King, Switchfoot); Phil Madeira (keyboards/accordion/guitar for Emmylou Harris, The Civil Wars, Buddy Miller, Alison Krauss); Steve Hindalong (percussionist for The Choir, Lost Dogs, Mark Heard, Riki Michelle); and Greg Kellogg (pedal steel for Mercy River, Lost Dogs).

Perhaps more significantly, Kerosene Halo will be presenting new and/or unheard material for the second helping, enlisting Roe and Daughtery’s skills along with Hindalong, Madeira, and others for a completely new experience. The “House On Fire” Kickstarter campaign ends on Sunday, April 5, so head over to the Kerosene Halo campaign page and have a look for yourself. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2113730376/kerosene-halo-house-on-fire-recording-project
