324751C02_BD_2D_OringWhat, because I’m on an indefinite hiatus you thought I wouldn’t return from time to time to offer free swag? Foolish reader, don’t you know how much I love giving away movies? I thought we were close.

Anyway, On May 10, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Lakeshore Entertainment and STX Entertainment are releasing The Boy, the latest in a long line of creepy doll horror movies. This one stars Lauren Cohan of The Walking Dead fame as a nanny whose job is as weird and unsettling as any I’ve heard of.

Cohan plays Greta, a young American hired to care for a couple’s 8-year-old boy.  She soon discovers that the 8-year-old is actually a life-sized porcelain doll that the family cares for just like a real boy. This is their a way of coping with the death of their son 20 years prior. After violating a list of strict rules, a series of disturbing and inexplicable events bring Greta’s worst nightmare to life, leading her to believe that the doll is actually alive.

SWEET. Sounds like my kind of picture.

Popdose has two Blu-ray copies of The Boy available to a couple of lucky readers. All you have to do is answer the following question.

Before he was an Academy Award winner, Anthony Hopkins starred in one of the creepiest creepy doll movies from the 1970s. Name that movie.

Here’s a hint, it was directed by future Academy Award winner Richard Attenborough, and written by Academy Award winner William Goldman. Unfortunately, the dummy didn’t win any Academy Awards, which really pissed him/it off.

Send your answer to malchus@popdose.com no later than 5:00 PM, Friday May 13th (seems appropriate).

Good luck!!!
