On January 20th director Steven Soderbergh, brings Haywire, released by Relativity, to the silver screen. Seriously, does this guy ever rest? He directed Contagion last fall and he has another film lined up for later this year!

Haywire is an action movie (because that’s just about the only genre the eclectic Soderbergh hasn’t made) starring mixed martial arts superstar Gina Carano. Apparently the director saw her on TV and thought, “Someone should make a movie around her! Hey, I think I’ll make a movie around her! And when I go to film it, I’ll enlist Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor,  Michael Fassbender,  Antonio Banderas,  and Bill Paxton. Aw hell, why not get an Academy Award winner, too. I’ll call  Michael Douglas!”

Okay, maybe it didn’t go down that way. But those are the supporting cast members in Haywire, and the film was written by Lem Dobbs, who also wrote Soderbegh’s brilliant, The Limey, so this film has the potential of being one kick ass movie.

In honor of Haywire’s release, Popdose has a Soderbergh prize pack to giveaway to one lucky reader. The prize includes a DVD copy of Ocean’s Eleven, Soderbergh’s 2001 remake of the Rat Pack movie; a DVD copy of Traffic, the 2000 film that won Soderbergh a Best Director Academy Award; as well as a Haywire T-shirt, rubber bracelet and mini poster.

All you have to do to win is email Scott Malchus (malchus@popdose.com) the answer to this riddle:

What is the relationship Steven Soderbergh has with Peter Andrews?

The contest ends this Thursday,1/19/12, at 10:00 PM, ET. The winner will be notified on Friday. Good Luck!
